Big Meadow – a little picturesque village lies in the middle of Slovakia in the west portions of Zvolen fold and in the protective zone of Sliac spa. The distance from the surrounding towns are - 8,8 miles from Banska Bystrica and 4,4 miles from district town Zvolen. The land area is 91 920 square feets at a height of about 308-470 thousand metres above sea level.
Through the village flows Lukavica stream, which originates in Dolna Micina village and empties into the Hron river. The name of this village comes from the large meadows extending in its close surroundings.
